This is the first step in your double cleansing routine and oil-based or balm based cleanser helps in removing any dirt or makeup gently. Whenever you work with oil or balm based cleanser make sure you massage very gently to remove any of the makeup or dirt from your face. After you’re done, rinse your face with some lukewarm water and pat dry your face.

Step 2: Foam/Water/Gel Based Cleanser

This is the second step in the double cleansing method which consists of washing your face with foam, water or gel-based cleanser. This method thus cleans out any of the water-based impurities such as dirt or sweat from the face which wasn’t removed from the oil or balm based cleanser.

Step 3: Usage of an Exfoliator

Whether it is a physical exfoliator or a chemical, removing out the dead skin cells from the face is very important in order to make your skin look healthy and glowy from within. So, make a habit of using an exfoliator but keep in mind to use it once or twice a week and not more than that.

Step 4: Toning

After all the cleansing step, the first step is to apply toner so that it will help in balancing out the moisture and the pH level of the skin. You can either use a toner by spraying it on your face and neck or you can use a cotton pad to apply it.

Step 5:  Use an Essence

Koreans never miss out on essences. They consider essence to be the most crucial and essential part of the Korean skincare routine. An essence is a concentrated formula which helps in treating fine lines, wrinkles, dull or uneven skin tones. Simply sprinkle some few drops on your hands and gently apply it on the face and neck area.

Step 6: Use of Serums

Serums are a little thicker in consistency to the Essence but deal with the same skin concerns such as acne, fine lines and dark spots. It is advised that you use only those type of serums that will help you with your skin concerns to treat your skin better and not something that you find other people using it.

Step 7: Mask

Sheet masks are infused with nutrient solutions known as a serum that allows the face to absorb the nutrients. While applying sheet masks, one should leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and not more than that. Drying up the sheet mask will absorb all the moisture from your face and you don’t want your skin to lose the moisture. So, just keep it till 15 to 20 minutes and then remove it and gently massage your face until the serum has been absorbed by your skin.

Step 8:  Cream For Eyes

An eye cream provides hydration and prevents any of the dark circle, crow’s feet and puffiness. While applying, gently dab on with the ring finger to let the cream get absorbed and also the eye area is your delicate area so try not to rub the cream while you apply the eye cream.
